IMASALA COLLECTIVE was created by close friends and business partners, Elena Fong and Naomi Phan-Quang in 2022, from a mutual desire to create a retail experience and creative classroom centered on community and supporting small, local business owners. The name “IMA” (Japanese) and “SALA” (Tagalog), both meaning “living room," reflecting the idea of home and serving patrons as family.
In October 2024 Young Sun joined the collective. With a mission to offer a unique and intentional coffee experience while sharing in the same vision for community and desire to showcase local small businesses, IMASALA COLLECTIVE became complete!
CLOVE + WHOLE
On the right side of the shop you will find a collection of handpicked vintage and preloved furnishings, homewares and clothing.
MIN’NA
On the left side of the shop you will find thoughtfully curated clothing, toys and books for children ages 5-12. There is a little nook where the little ones can play while the grown ups shop.
masterpiece coffee
Located in the back of the shop, adjacent to our garden, is our cozy coffee corner run by Young Sun. He specializes in expertly roasted coffee beans from Yunnan, China, offering a range of specialty coffee drinks. In addition to his coffee offerings, he also serves matcha, teas, and other creative beverages that beautifully incorporate Asian flavors, providing a diverse and refreshing experience for visitors.
